Richard Grand passes away of natural causes

FOCIS (The Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors) announces the passing of Richard Grand, co-founder and Honorary President of the society.

The Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors is sad to announce the death of Richard Grand, the co-founder and Honorary President of the Richard Grand Society (now FOCIS).  He died on Sunday 07 April 2013 at the age of 83.

Richard was a leading Tucson attorney who established the Inner Circle of Advocates in 1972, an exclusive club of American lawyers with at least one verdict in excess of $1 million and more than 50 jury trials behind them.

Following the huge success of the Inner Circle he wanted to establish a similar organisation in the UK, and in 1997 co-founded the Richard Grand Society with John Cahill, managing partner of Stewarts Law.

John Cahill commented that "Founding the Richard Grand Society with Richard was a great honour for me and I know that he was proud that after so many years it continued to thrive as an organisation."

The Arizona Daily Star have published an article and an obituary for Richard on their website, links to which can be found below:
