FOCIS members met with Lord Justice Jackson
Four clinical negligence specialist members of the Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors met with Lord Justice Jackson on Friday 12 June to discuss with him aspects of clinical negligence litigation by way of contribution to his current review of the costs of litigation. The agenda was wide ranging and was intended to balance a contribution from solicitors acting for the NHS and Defence Unions who had met him in May. The Jackson review is currently in its second consultative phase which ends on July 31. His final report will be published at the end of the year and could well put in train significant changes to the way in which all litigation in England and Wales is conducted.
