Prad's Case

Prad was one of twins, born in March 1996. After the birth of his twin sister, who was delivered first, there were worrying signs of fetal distress on the CTG monitor.

The hospital's own protocol states that the birth of a second twin should be effected within 20 minutes of the first, yet 46 minutes elapsed before Prad was delivered.

Prad was born in a severely asphyxiated condition and has gone on to develop dystonic cerebral palsy. He is severely disabled both physically and mentally and suffers from epilepsy. At the time of settlement Prad was 5 years old and had a life expectancy of 10 years.

We successfully negotiated a settlement of £975,000 for Prad, which should make his life, and that of his family, easier and happier.
